Akon - Honey I'm Home

Akon drops another track on Sunday from his Konkrete mixtape before its release. Give it a listen and let me know what you think, it's far from classic Akon, but the first verse is fresh.

Kid Ink - Showoff Radio (Shade 45)

Shade 45 invited young up and coming rapper Kid Ink to the studio for an interview and while he was there he dropped this freestyle. Another strong lyrical performance from Ink as he continues to make a big impact on the rap game.

Sorry I am six days late on all of this music, I just returned from a weekend trip to San Diego and just recovered!

Drank in My Cup - Kirko Bangz (remix)

Kirko Bangz re-releases the track that started the feud between himself and J. Cole after he released a copy of this track with a chopped and screwed J. Cole verse. J. Cole's response was to release a full version of the song with 2 verses and claimed that was the way he wanted everyone to hear it. 2 Chainz original verse is in this song, which proves as the strong point, its sandwiched by two mediocre verses, and Juelz Santana replaces Cole on the beat. Not as good as the freestyle but worth a listen.

Jon Connor - Hello

Jon Connor comes through with the third track off of The People's Rapper LP which drops Friday on his birthday. I am extremely excited for this project, especially after this third release. It seems as though Jon Connor is going to be the next big thing in the rap game if he can catch a break. His wordplay is phenomenal and he absolutely murders this beat. Enjoy!

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Victory Lap

Every year, XXL Magazine releases their "Freshman of the Year", a group of up and coming rap artists that will make a fairly significant impact on the rap industry over the next 12 months. In condolence with the magazine covers that feature these artists, XXL releases a mixtape. I was really looking forward to Macklemore's entry for the project. Macklemore is extremely talented, make sure you listen to some of his other music, and expect a lot out of him in 2012! Enjoy!

Hoodie Allen - No Faith In Brooklyn

Hoodie Allen is well on his way to making his mark on the hip-hop game. The time is right for this kid, earlier this week I reviewed a single "No Interruption" from Hoodie, here he presents "No Faith In Brooklyn (ft. Jhameel). Hoodie Allen's All American EP hits iTunes today. I'll try and get a review up before bedtime. I feel like this song is going to get a ton of radio play, but enjoy it before the radio kills it!

Mac Miller - Thoughts From A Balcony

A few days ago when Mac Miller dropped his latest mixtape Macadelic, I posted that this was my favorite song off of the mixtape. Less than a week later and the visuals for "Thoughts From A Balcony" have dropped. If you are a music video fan give this one a watch, and if you haven't heard this song yet; drop everything you are doing and listen. Oh and if you haven't downloaded Macadelic yet, head over to www.datpiff.com for the free download!

Chiddy Bang - Handclaps & Guitars

The guys over at Goodmusicallday.com produced this music video for their first project ever. The audio track comes off of Chiddy Bang's first studio album Breakfast, which I haven't gotten a chance to completely listen too. This song bangs pretty hard, if you are a Chiddy Bang fan back to the days of "Opposite of Adults" and the Peanut Butter and Swelly mixtape you will surely love this beat!

Tayyib Ali - Ride With Us (ft. Cisco Adler)

Cisco Adler appears with another rapper in a collaboration effort. The past collaborations haven't disappointed and neither does this one. I would compare this song to a Shwayze song, very similar in beat and written style. Adler did most of the production for Mike Posner's first studio album 31 Minutes to Takeoff. We can't forget about Tayyib Ali, his easy living, acoustical verses about summer and music make this an instant hit!

Huey Mack - About Us

College rapper Huey Mack has a project expected to drop two weeks from today titled A Boy Named Hue. I brought you the first single off of the album earlier in the week, and here comes the second one. My biggest knock on Huey is that his flow seems a little rushed at times, but this song gives us three non forced verses. It's not the best song you'll hear today, but worth a listen regardless!

YONAS - One More Time

YONAS drops by with "One More Time" which samples from the Daft Punk classic. His rhymes are very witty and full of lyrical play, similar to a Wale, but his delivery may even be better. If you want to hear more YONAS check out his first project, The Proven Theory on iTunes, his next project drops in May. I'll be sure to keep you updated!

Chris Brown - Till I Die (ft. Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa)

Tuesday is always a good day for upcoming album singles. Today is no different, Chris Brown teams up with Big Sean and Wiz Khalifa in this single off of Chris Brown's forthcoming album titled Fortune. Funkmaster Flex produces the beat, which is pretty catchy. Chris Brown's verse leaves a little to be desired but Sean and Khalifa clean it up in the final two verses. Enjoy!

Kid Ink - Lost In the Sauce

Here is a single released from Kid Ink this morning. Kid Ink was included in XXL magazine's freshman to watch for 2012. Previous projects from Kid Ink really turned me off to his style, but today's cut beats. Hopefully we hear more of this out of Kid Ink going forward. The XXL Freshman mixtape drops today and this is one of Kid Ink's songs on the project, I will be sure to bring you more after it drops later today. Enjoy!

Game - California Republic (Mixtape)

I've had a little bit of time to listen to this mixtape and digest it a little more. The Game follows up his studio album The R.E.D. Album with this mixtape. Almost every song on the entire mixtape contains a feature. The Game appears impressive on several tracks, with most of the features being hit or miss. Here are a few of my personal favorites off of this mixtape: Red Bottom Boss, Hit the J, Tonight, Greystone, and Skate On (single). 5 bumpin' tracks to help you make it to your  Monday morning class!

How sick is the album art?

I promise you this mixtape bumps, from Siri in the opening seconds to the bonus Snoop Dogg track!

Kanye West - Mercy

We finally have another new song from G.O.O.D. music following Watch The Throne and Finally Famous. This one has Kanye written all over it, not nearly as impressive as the "Theraflu" track he dropped earlier this week, but who is going to complain about a fresh Big Sean verse? The whole G.O.O.D. music family makes a stop on the track, give it a listen.

PS: Anybody know the deal with Kanye and Kim Kardashian? Try google.

Marvin Divine - The Dilema

This dude, Marvin Divine, was following me on twitter and I noticed I wasn't following back, so I clicked through to see if his music was any good. He displays crazy lyrical talent as he tells a story over a very catchy beat. I hit him up to see what project he was working on, he is telling us to stay tuned for his Ride The Wave project, when it drops later this year and the first single is forthcoming. Check this dude out on twitter (@Marvindivine) and show him some love!! The video only has 300 views, but it's the best song you've heard all week!

Game - California Republic (Mixtape)

Game has dropped the California Republic mixtape. The link is on DJ Skee's twitter (@djskee). It's taking a little while to download, I'll give it a listen and report back in a few hours.

Mike Stud - Boyfriend (Remix)

I'm a little late on the latest track from Mike Stud's camp, this one actually hit a couple of radio stations today, but Mike's version is the best version of this song I have heard to date. Give it a listen, if you haven't heard much Mike Stud, make sure you check out his soundcloud by clicking the box below! He's taking frat rap to a whole new level! Enjoy!

EDIT: This song has gotten airplay in 10 cities over the past 2 days, keep blowing him up!!! (@Mike_Stud)

Vonnegutt - Bright Eyes

Don't know a whole lot about this artist other than this song rocks. The visuals that accompany this track are pretty sick too, check it out! "I'm actually looking for this girl..."

Chris Brown - Strip (Remix)

Chris Brown and Kevin McCall deliver on this slow beating track. If you are a fan of slow jamz, you'll surely fall in love with this one. If you don't like the slower R&B style, you may want to skip this one. This version may be slightly different than what was floating around earlier in the week, but this is the official release!

Game - It Must Be Tough (ft. Pharrell)

This is the Game's second leak off of the upcoming project that we have all been talking about, California Republic. The song features Pharrell and two rather strong verses from the Game. The two leaks have me extremely excited for the project, especially after the R.E.D. Album was a little bit of a let down. Bring on the tape! Enjoy!

Jon Connor - Cleaning Out My Closet

Jon Connor drops the third track off of his upcoming project titled The People's Rapper LP. The song follows the rest of the mixtape, in which Jon attempts to resurrect Eminem beats. His lyrics are on point like always, but I find that the flow to similarly matches Eminem. We want ORIGINAL Jon Connor music!!!!!!!!!! Anyways, the project drops April 13th, JC's birthday, expect it to be fire either way!!

Dillon Cooper - Shadows

The guys over at The Tapedeck found Dillon Cooper after he hit them up on Twitter (@TheDillonCooper). Let's give him some publicity, he has a good amount of talent and look forward of hearing more of him!

Hoodie Allen - No Interruption

Speaking of college rappers, here's another one of my personal favorites. Allen is set to drop a mixtape and go on tour starting April 10th. This is the first single off of the album. Allen is as witty as Childish Gambino and his word play will make you put this track on repeat several times until we get the mixtape. Blow him up on twitter (@HoodieAllen) and look for All American April 10th!!

Huey Mack - Live Once

Huey Mack, one of my favorite college rappers drops a single to hold everyone over until he releases his latest work titled A Boy Named Hue. Hopefully the project goes live soon, Huey has the potential to follow in Mac Miller's footsteps, he just needs to catch a good break.

Sammy Adams - Summertime

Apparently Sam(my?) Adams really hates college, because he recycles the chorus off of his track "I Hate College". At least he changed up the beat and dropped two decent verses, but honestly re-using chorus' won't take you to the next level. Oh well, if you can bear to hear it one more time the verses are worth listening to.

CyHi Da Prynce - A-Town (feat. Travis Porter and B.o.B)

It's been months since we've seen or heard anything from CyHi Da Prynce. He is singed on G.O.O.D. Music so hopefully they will bring him out in their forthcoming label album that the hip hop world has been waiting for. Love it! Here's an anthem for everyone out of the ATL! Non hard-core hip-hop fans might want to skip this one. Cheers!

Kanye West - Theraflu (ft. DJ Khaled)

It's safe to say the old Kanye is back. Hopefully that means death to the emotional Kanye that can't put together a single solid song. This beat on this song goes hard, on a song produced by Funkmaster Flex, who we last saw producing another Jay-Z prodigy J. Cole on Fly Together with Red Cafe. Hopefully we see more of Kanye leading into the summer months, as Watch the Throne finally starts to fade off.

Monica - Take A Chance (ft. Wale)

If you didn't buy Wale's album Ambition, pause the track and go buy it from iTunes, there are 4-5 classics on that album. Monica displays a an amazing array of vocal ability leading into a deep-in-meaning Wale verse over a very airy beat. It's a good one I promise you!

5 & A Dime - Breaking Spring

This might be one of the coolest mash-ups that I have heard in recent memory. If you listen to it once, you will probably listen to it again, and you will have the very simple chorus memorized and will be singing along. It came just a few days late for UNLV Spring Break though :(.

Game - Skate On (ft. Lupe Fiasco)

Game is dropping his new mixtape on Thursday afternoon, California Republic with DJ Skee, which will be his latest release since the R.E.D. Album. Lu comes through and graces the beat before Game really takes over and busts the beat for two straight verses. This has me extremely excited for the rest of the project that drops tomorrow!

T.I. - Love This Life

Man, you have to give this guy some credit, he did well over a year in a federal prison and he's finally making it all the way back to where he was pre-incarceration. T.I. shows a wide range of vocals on the chorus of this one and drops his lyric over a catchy bass-line that will surely have your iTunes on repeat. Enjoy!
