Akon - Honey I'm Home

Akon drops another track on Sunday from his Konkrete mixtape before its release. Give it a listen and let me know what you think, it's far from classic Akon, but the first verse is fresh.

Kid Ink - Showoff Radio (Shade 45)

Shade 45 invited young up and coming rapper Kid Ink to the studio for an interview and while he was there he dropped this freestyle. Another strong lyrical performance from Ink as he continues to make a big impact on the rap game.

Sorry I am six days late on all of this music, I just returned from a weekend trip to San Diego and just recovered!

Drank in My Cup - Kirko Bangz (remix)

Kirko Bangz re-releases the track that started the feud between himself and J. Cole after he released a copy of this track with a chopped and screwed J. Cole verse. J. Cole's response was to release a full version of the song with 2 verses and claimed that was the way he wanted everyone to hear it. 2 Chainz original verse is in this song, which proves as the strong point, its sandwiched by two mediocre verses, and Juelz Santana replaces Cole on the beat. Not as good as the freestyle but worth a listen.

Jon Connor - Hello

Jon Connor comes through with the third track off of The People's Rapper LP which drops Friday on his birthday. I am extremely excited for this project, especially after this third release. It seems as though Jon Connor is going to be the next big thing in the rap game if he can catch a break. His wordplay is phenomenal and he absolutely murders this beat. Enjoy!

Macklemore & Ryan Lewis - Victory Lap

Every year, XXL Magazine releases their "Freshman of the Year", a group of up and coming rap artists that will make a fairly significant impact on the rap industry over the next 12 months. In condolence with the magazine covers that feature these artists, XXL releases a mixtape. I was really looking forward to Macklemore's entry for the project. Macklemore is extremely talented, make sure you listen to some of his other music, and expect a lot out of him in 2012! Enjoy!

Hoodie Allen - No Faith In Brooklyn

Hoodie Allen is well on his way to making his mark on the hip-hop game. The time is right for this kid, earlier this week I reviewed a single "No Interruption" from Hoodie, here he presents "No Faith In Brooklyn (ft. Jhameel). Hoodie Allen's All American EP hits iTunes today. I'll try and get a review up before bedtime. I feel like this song is going to get a ton of radio play, but enjoy it before the radio kills it!

Mac Miller - Thoughts From A Balcony

A few days ago when Mac Miller dropped his latest mixtape Macadelic, I posted that this was my favorite song off of the mixtape. Less than a week later and the visuals for "Thoughts From A Balcony" have dropped. If you are a music video fan give this one a watch, and if you haven't heard this song yet; drop everything you are doing and listen. Oh and if you haven't downloaded Macadelic yet, head over to www.datpiff.com for the free download!
